4 Things To Know About The Momcozy M5 (Before You Buy)

Momcozy M5 review covering 4 important things to know before buying, including comfort, suction strength, usability, and real-world performance for busy moms.

If you’re thinking about getting the Momcozy M5 wearable pump (and many of the other wearable pumps on the market), there are a few things I want you to know before you click “add to cart.”

This isn’t my full review (you can watch that here → review here), but this is what actually matters when you’re deciding if this pump makes sense for you.

Let’s get into it.

4 Things To Know About the Momcozy M5 (Before You Buy)

1. The Momcozy M5 Is a Wearable Pump — Which Means It’s Secondary

First and most important:

The Momcozy M5 is a wearable pump, meaning no tubing, no wires, and it goes directly inside your bra.

But being wearable also means this is a secondary pump. This is true of ALL wearable pumps. (You can check out my blog about primary, secondary, and wearable pumps here).

I do not recommend using this as your primary pump all day long - especially if you are exclusively pumping. Wearables should be used 1–2 times per day, max.

That said?

Those 1–2 sessions can be a total game changer.

  • Pumping at work

  • Pumping in public

  • Pumping while teaching

  • Pumping as a nurse

  • Pumping at 5–6pm while making dinner

You stick it in, and you keep moving. And sometimes that’s exactly what you need.

2. It Comes With Multiple Flange Sizes (Which I Love)

The Momcozy M5 comes with:

  • 24mm and 27mm flanges

  • Flange inserts included for smaller sizes

And I will say this — I appreciate when a pump company includes inserts instead of making you buy them separately.

You just pop the insert inside and you’re good to go.

That said: Please measure. Most moms are not a 24 or 27.

If you don’t know your size, grab my free flange ruler.

Correct sizing matters way more than people realize, especially with wearables.

3. The Parts Aren’t Technically Dishwasher Safe

Now let’s talk real life.

The Momcozy M5 parts are technically not dishwasher safe.

However… I am not handwashing pump parts 8 times a day.

So yes - I put them on the top rack or in my Momcozy bottle washer (discount code: MOWTP10D).

Do I know I’m taking a risk? Yes. If they warp or fall apart, that’s on me.

But if you want to extend the life of the parts, handwashing is technically the recommendation.

Also, if you’re using the fridge hack (which the CDC does not officially recommend), you can store the parts in the fridge between sessions. Make sure to pop the motor off.

Pro tip: If you take them out cold, sometimes wearable suction isn’t as strong. Let the parts sit out for about 10 minutes before pumping so they come closer to room temp.

4. Wearable Pumps Are a Luxury - But a Game Changer

If you already have a strong primary pump and can afford to add a secondary wearable, the Momcozy M5 is worth considering.

It is not essential. You do not need a wearable.

But when you have it? It makes life easier.

Traveling. Working. Out at dinner. Managing toddlers.

It gives you flexibility without dragging tubing everywhere.

And sometimes that flexibility is the difference between quitting and continuing.

Is a wearable pump worth it?

Should You Buy the Momcozy M5?

If you:

  • Already have a good primary pump
  • Need something discreet for public or work
  • Want flexibility during busy hours
  • Understand it’s a 1–2 sessions per day pump
  • Want something budget friendly.

Then yes - this can be a really great secondary option.

If you’re exclusively pumping and looking for something to use 7–8 times a day, this is not your primary.
